Score!

My husband was cleaning out the garage and I noticed a box marked "fabric".  Score!  I found all these 1930s reproductions to add to My Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt!

A glimpse of Autumn

A cute Black-Eyed Susan I bought at Trader Joe's complete with a neat pot.  I hope to plant this by my picket fence and let it spread.

Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt - cont'd

Moving right along.  A total of 11 rosettes are needed for a lap size quilt.  These were done while on a two week vacation at the beach.  People think I am crazy doing "tedious work".  I love it!  The plan is to do my best work for whoever will receive this and to possibly enter it into a quilt show when completed.

Mt. St. Helens

Gorgeous Day for a trip to a beautiful sight: Mt. St. Helens.  I still remember when she blew in May 1980 which was just a month or so before I graduated from high school.

Road Trip to Oregon & California

We're on our way!

Mt. Rainier

The three of us fit in the tent just right

Mt. Hood

Crater Lake

Allen Elizabethan Theatre
Ashland, Oregon
We saw "The Count of Monte Cristo"

Sundial Bridge
Redding, California
Mt. Shasta

The Redwood Forest

From north of Seattle to Mt. Hood, Bend, Crater Lake, Ashland, Klamath Falls, Redding,
Klamath California, Florence Oregon and home again.  Mary (age 15) drove 3/4 of the way.  She got a lot of great driving experience through curvy, twisty roads, wind gusts, fog, steep grades, huge semi trucks, Crater Lake cliffs without any barriers.  She did a great job!
