New Middle School

This is a new middle school being built in the neighborhood.  They started breaking ground in June.  The scheduled opening is set for January 2017.

My husband was cleaning out the garage and I noticed a box marked "fabric".  Score!  I found all these 1930s reproductions to add to My Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt! 

 

 

A glimpse of Autumn

A cute Black-Eyed Susan I bought at Trader Joe's complete with a neat pot.  I hope to plant this by my picket fence and let it spread.

Moving right along.  A total of 11 rosettes are needed for a lap size quilt.  These were done while on a two week vacation at the beach.  People think I am crazy doing "tedious work".  I love it!  The plan is to do my best work for whoever will receive this and to possibly enter it into a quilt show when completed.
